Tax Counselors work in a service center and provide telephonic tax assistance counseling to service members and their families. Tax assistance counseling will be provided to assist with basic federal tax filing questions. Tax Counselors will handle routine tax questions and work with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance. Tax Counselors will demonstrate proficiency in addressing clients’ needs by phone and use of electronic media. Candidates must possess a strong knowledge of tax benefits applicable to military service members and military families.
Veterans and military spouses encouraged to apply. Bilingual English/Spanish speakers preferred. Evening and/or weekend availability may be required.
