Letter From Dean and Alan
Dear Friends,
Like you, we continue to pay close attention to world business news and look for signs of an improving global economy. This downturn has forced companies to rethink the way they do business and, in some cases, tighten their belts or hold off on plans for expansion.
We are pleased to report that despite this unstable business climate, Workplace Options has continued to grow both here and abroad. We remain the largest provider of work-life services in the United States, and have now expanded our employee support services into more than 145 countries worldwide.
Around the globe, our clients understand that the services we provide help employees to manage their busy working and private lives, and they enable workers to stay focused and productive on-the-job. There is no question that our financial counseling and debt management offerings provide real help to employees struggling with the worry that money problems can bring. Our full array of dependent care services support employees looking for lower cost options for child and elder care, and our convenience services assist families to find discounts and low-cost recreational options while choosing to stay close to home this summer.
We hope you will enjoy this edition of Your Options. We’ve included some articles you may find helpful while managing employees through these complex business times. Learn about the webinar we hosted on Employees in Crisis featuring internationally recognized Consultant and Corporate Trainer, Brenda Blair, and click on the link for the free download of her thought-provoking presentation. Find out more about Network Advantage, a full-service resource directory of over 27,000 EAP professionals that can immediately expand EAP network capabilities. You can also read about some of the positive changes happening here at Workplace Options.
We all hope you have a safe and happy summer as we look forward to the rest of 2009 and beyond.
