When work/life employee benefits first debuted in the mid 1980's, they consisted mainly of child and elder care support programs. Since then the trend has been to add service categories - from pet care to concierge - in an effort to address the needs of employees at different lifecycles. Unfortunately, as work/life programs have expanded so has their price tag, making it difficult for many employers to afford work/life benefits.
To address growing employer demand for affordable work/life services, Workplace Options has created Advantage Fundamentals, an entry level work/life resource and referral program that gives employees access to work/life experts, a customized list of local providers, a comprehensive web site and a wealth of printed and online educational resources.
