Workplace Options Announces the Acquisition of Irish EAP

17 January 2007 – Raleigh, NC – Workplace Options, the largest provider of work-life employee benefits in America, today announced the acquisition of EAP Solutions, one of Ireland’s leading providers of employee assistance and work-life services. This acquisition significantly expands WPO’s European presence and international provider network.
EAP Solutions, based in Dublin, currently provides services to more than 55,000 employees throughout the Republic of Ireland. The new entity, Employee Advisory Resource Ireland, will serve over 100,000 employee lives. “This acquisition reinforces WPO’s position as a leading provider of international EAP and work-life services”; said Dean Debnam, CEO of Workplace Options. “We expect significant growth in this market and want to make sure that WPO continues to be positioned as the service and value leader”.

EAR Ireland services will be marketed exclusively through an on-going partnership with Vhi Corporate Solutions, a subsidiary of Vhi Health – Ireland’s largest health insurer.
The acquisition of EAP Solutions follows the July 2006 acquisition of London-based, Employee Advisory Resource.
