Workplace Options Launches SMS Text Service
New Tool Provides Real-Time Service and Information for People on the Move

18 September 2008 – Raleigh, NC – Workplace Options (WPO), America’s largest provider of work-life services, announces the launch of a new SMS (short message service) text function that relays information about child care, elder care or convenience providers directly to customers on their mobile phone or PDA. Provider information is electronically sent to the devices and customers simply click on phone numbers to reach those providers immediately.
The SMS functionality enhances WPO’s ability to provide real-time assistance to working caregivers, and eliminates the need to be at a computer in order to find work-life resources. On behalf of employees, WPO’s work-life consultants search for providers in their area, contact them to determine availability, and transmit the information to the customer via SMS text. The new service also offers abbreviated provider referrals.
