24 July 2009 – Raleigh, NC – Workplace Options, a leading global provider of employee support services, today announced the launch of the Academy of Global Thought Leadership, a four-part webinar series on strategies to help managers and executive leaders steer their employees and organizations through these hard economic times.
A recent poll from Workplace Options found that almost half of employees (48 percent) would feel more freedom to concentrate on work and home responsibilities if their employer provided support for childcare. Another 50 percent surveyed said that knowing they had back-up care options when their regular provider is unavailable would help them with feeling covered and less stressed, should their primary option fall through.
The global webinars will present the latest critical thinking from internationally recognized business experts around the theme: Global Leadership During the Financial Crisis. Attendees will sharpen their leadership skills by learning key strategies for business success in today’s changing environment and how to apply those strategies to their own workplaces. Select webinars will be downloadable for free following the presentations.
“The purpose of the Academy of Global Thought Leadership is to assemble international business experts to share their experience and scholarship with business leaders around the globe to help drive positive change in their organizations and meet today’s challenges head on,” said Dean Debnam, chief executive officer for Workplace Options. “Through this series, leaders will evaluate and recallibrate their skills to become more effective and inspired leaders.”
