RALEIGH, N.C., August 17, 2010 — Raleigh, N.C.-based work-life services provider, Workplace Option's, today announced the addition of Susan Haws to its new sales and business development team. As director of business solutions, Haws will help drive new business growth by expanding to reach new Workplace Options partners and by building upon existing relationships with current partners in the western region.

With more than 20 years of experience in the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and work-life services industry, Haws brings Workplace Options a breadth of knowledge in the fields of behavioral health, management and wellness.

She comes to Workplace Options most recently from Shepell-fgi, where she served as director of global business solutions, developing business opportunities for international EAP and cross-cultural solutions. Haws’ solid experience in consultative sales, strategic business planning and account management stems from a previous role as strategic account executive for OptumHealth, a division of UnitedHealth Group.

Passionate about improving the wellbeing of employees and their families in the global workforce, Haws has always been interested in the intersection between the employee and the organization, the world of work and domestic life.

Haws, a native of Buffalo, N.Y., holds both a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Roanoke College in Virginia and master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Buffalo in New York.

Susans experience in both the healthcare field and employee support industry makes her an exceptional candidate for the position as a director of business solutions,” said Dean Debnam, chief executive officer for Workplace Options. Her firm understanding of psychology, combined with her keen instincts as a saleswoman, make her a great fit for the role. And, her compassion for people and commitment to their wellbeing makes her a great fit for our team.
