Workplace Options Taps JB Gruet for Seat on Board of Directors

Senior Vice President of Global Business Solutions Helped Lead Company Through a Decade of Rampant Growth and Expansion.

Raleigh, N.C. (December 12, 2016) – Workplace Options, the leading provider of integrated global employee well-being solutions, is pleased to announce Jean-Baptiste (JB) Gruet as the newest member of its Board of Directors.

Gruet has been an integral part of the organization for the past decade, leading its global sales and business solutions efforts through a period that saw the company’s footprint, revenue, and headcount expand exponentially.

“Over the past 10 years, we’ve transitioned from an emerging innovator in the employee well-being space to a global leader in this field, and JB has been as huge part of that success,” said Dean Debnam, chief executive officer at Workplace Options and chairman of its Board of Directors. “He is someone who knows this industry backwards and forwards, and there is no finer person to help us plan a strategic course for sustained success in the years to come.”

Since joining Workplace Options in 2007, Gruet has helped secure global partnerships and new business that have been instrumental in the company’s evolution. During his tenure, the company has expanded both its product portfolio and global infrastructure.

Workplace Options covered nearly 10 million employees with its well-being programs a decade ago compared to more than 53 million through its integrated offerings today. Similarly, the number of Global Service Centers has increased from four to 13 during that span while the number of employees has nearly tripled.

“This is a unique company in terms of what we offer, and how we are positioned to serve companies around the globe,” Gruet said. “I’m excited to join the Board and do whatever I can to help us continue to set the bar for excellence across the world. My 10 years at Workplace Options have been truly incredible, but we are just beginning to scratch the surface of what this organization can ultimately become.”

Gruet joins Debnam, Alan King, president and chief operating officer, Berjin Adibelli, chief financial officer, Mary Ellen Gornick, senior vice president of global products, and Darrell Shipley, senior vice president of global service delivery on Workplace Options’ Board of Directors.

“Over the next 10 years, the companies in our industry that can adapt their offerings to meet the needs of an increasingly mobile, global and diverse workforce are the ones that will succeed,” Debnam said. “With the team we have in place and the things happening across this company, I can’t imagine a better place to be.”
