Raleigh, N.C. (Nov. 8, 2018)

Workplace Options, a leading global provider of work-life programs and employee effectiveness services, announced today that it has been honored with four awards from the Triangle Business Journal for various outstanding contributions.

Honored as one of the Healthiest Employers of the Triangle on October 25, this year marks Workplace Options’ sixth consecutive year being on the list of the Triangle’s top 25 healthiest employers. Now in its eighth year, the award for the healthiest employers in the area is based on a variety of criteria, including the types of wellness benefits available to employees, participation in employee wellbeing programs, and corporate culture.

“We truly believe in investing in our most valued asset—our people,” said Workplace Options CEO Dean Debnam. “As an employee effectiveness company, health is an integral part of our mission, and all of the services we offer to our clients are extended to our employees. We applaud the company-wide commitment of every employee to live and reflect a healthy lifestyle.”

For Workplace Options, the honors keep coming. Earlier this year, the company was named one of 15 recipients of the prestigious 2018 Leaders in Diversity Award. The award, now in its sixth year, is given annually by the Triangle Business Journal to businesses and individuals who demonstrate respect for inclusive treatment of others.

“Celebrating and promoting diversity is a core tenet of who we are as a company, and we are proud to be a business that is open to anyone who wants an opportunity to work and improve the lives of others,” said Debnam. “We focus on creating an inclusive environment that enables our employees to do what their passion drives them to do and apply their expertise in a way that consistently creates value for our clients and end users.”

Also in 2018, Workplace Options President and COO Alan King was awarded the C-Suite Award honoring all outstanding C-level executives – excepting CEO’s – for their contributions to the Triangle community. King, who has been with Workplace Options for 16 years, supports the company’s growth in a variety of ways and helps to ensure that the company’s solutions for employee wellbeing remain innovative and ahead of the changing needs of businesses worldwide. He believes in working hard to make sure that Workplace Options is developing services for where the market is going to be, and not just for present demand.

Reflecting on his history and future with Workplace Options, King said: “Years ago, Dean Debnam and I worked together, in different companies, and the friendship and respect that grew out of that time is still with us today. Before I accepted his offer to join Workplace Options, he made a promise to me that no matter what happened, we would work together to build a company where we both would want to work, and that we both could be proud of. His promise is my reality every day, and our company is the manifestation of that promise.”

Earlier in the year, Workplace Options’ Director of Global Work-Life Operations, Sarah Wood, received Triangle Business Journal’s prestigious 40 Under 40 Award, honoring the most promising young business people under the age of 40 in the Triangle. Wood, who has been with Workplace Options for 10 years, manages the daily operations of several global service centers while continuing to meet the growing needs of Workplace Options’ global workforce clientele.

“Sarah is a superstar!” King said of Wood’s award win. “She builds and sustains amazing teams by marshaling the skills and talents of each member into something truly powerful and empowering. Workplace Options is very proud of Sarah.”

Of Workplace Options’ recent accolades, Debnam said, “It´s a true honor to receive this type of recognition, and I am proud of the fact that we continue to receive such prestigious distinction in our community. I believe that Workplace Options has the greatest collection of talent in our industry, and that reflects in achievements such as these.”
