A recent widow called seeking help dealing with the unexpected loss of her husband.

She shared that she was overwhelmed by loneliness and sadness, especially during the weekends. She cried often and had been avoiding activities she had once enjoyed.

The woman received ongoing face-to-face sessions with her counselor, where they worked through the stages of grief at her pace. The woman began showing signs of improvement and was able to work on an action plan to rejoin activities that had once brought her happiness.

At her final session, she shared how thankful she was for the support she had received, mentioning how helpful the counselor had been in encouraging her to get involved in activities again.
