SITUATION

A multinational corporation that was preparing to implement a global wellbeing programme reached out to the Consulting Practice team to analyse member needs and community assets for its global workforce of 10,000 employees located across 80 work sites, including remote field locations.

ACTION

The consulting team conducted member interviews, surveys and focus groups across all locations to collect data that was used to analyse workforce needs. In addition, team members examined each community in-depth, identifying relevant community resources and challenges. In a mapping exercise, the team matched member needs and challenges to the available resources identified for each location.

In their report, the consulting team outlined those factors having the most impact on the worker experience. The report also identified challenges specific to workplace locations. The consultants recommended a number of initiatives including developing partnerships with local resources, creating customised trainings and resources addressing specific challenges, and adapting wellbeing resources to better meet member needs.

RESULT

In response to the recommendations from the consulting team, the organisation developed training programmes and resilience resources, as well as adapted the global wellbeing programme to better serve the workforce. In addition to being successfully implemented, the global wellbeing programme has experienced high satisfaction levels and robust utilisation.
