Workplace Options (WPO) recently launched the Aware Mindfulness Channel, a complimentary library of mindfulness exercises recorded in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, and Italian. Aware is a research-based mindfulness program that helps employees better manage stress by using mindfulness techniques to engage in the present moment.
The mindfulness sessions on the Aware channel are short audio recordings designed to help employees focus, release tension, and reset for improved wellbeing. The channel is an extension of WPO’s Aware program, which pairs employees with Aware specialists who provide mindfulness training and support over a period of six weeks.
In the early weeks of the coronavirus pandemic, Workplace Options began offering live group mindfulness sessions, in addition to its traditional one-on-one sessions with Aware specialists. The sessions were very popular, with over 30,000 global participants, prompting WPO to develop the Aware Mindfulness Channel, so employees have access to on-demand sessions 24/7.
“Creating these recordings is a rewarding experience for our team,” shares Debbie Jongkind, Vice President of Global Coaching Services at Workplace Options. “It’s gratifying to know that we are helping parents, teachers, employees adjusting to remote working, first responders, health care workers, and others find calm and focus during this stressful time.”
In addition to making the mindfulness recordings available to clients, WPO shared the Aware channel with the community at large on its Covid-19 Community Resources web page. Other resources on this page include webinars and articles aimed at helping companies and employees navigate the many challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic.
