The Vaping Epidemic: A Coach’s Role

General knowledge of vaping products and nicotine addiction can lead to effective coaching support, build client self-efficacy, and assist the client to evaluate their overall health. This on-demand recorded webinar covers the risks and harm of vaping, a discussion among coaches trained to deliver this type of coaching and how they support their clients, with empathy, while remaining non-judgmental, and supporting the client in cultivating positive emotions and self-talk.

In the early 2000s, electronic nicotine delivery systems (known as ENDS) emerged on the market in China, Europe, and the United States. Originally developed as “safer” than smoking and as a tool to aid in the process of quitting cigarettes, it quickly became an epidemic among global youth. Many of these adolescents and teens are now young adults and are addicted to vaping like the older generation was on traditional tobacco products.
