The Live Well Wellness Global Coach Training program, sponsored by Workplace Options (WPO), recently announced that registration will open on December 1, 2020, for its full global coach training program. Classes for the 16-week program will be held virtually on Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET beginning February 4, 2021 and concluding on May 20, 2021.
Workplace Options’ coach training program is approved by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). Graduates of the program meet the training requirements to sit for the Health and Wellness Coaching (HWC) certifying exam, sponsored by NBHWC and the National Board of Medical Examiners, in order to obtain the National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaching (NBC-HWC) credential. Additionally, the Live Well Wellness Global Coach Training program is an International Coach Federation (ICF) Approved Coach Specific Training Hours (ACSTH) provider, and graduates meet the training requirements to apply for the ICF’s Associate Certified Coach credential (ACC).
The Live Well Wellness Global Coach Training program features a combination of synchronous and asynchronous learning sessions, including 60 hours of core coach competency training and 18 hours of health- and wellness-specific instruction. The training sessions prepare coaches to use motivational interviewing techniques and a values-based, whole-person approach to coaching, which supports participants’ emotional, physical, and practical wellbeing.
Although Workplace Options has been training coaches for the last seven years, this is the first time that the full coach training program is being made available to the general public. Space in the class, however, is limited in order to offer students maximum support.
