AIR

AIR for managers consists of Awareness, Intervention, and Resilience strategies that address stress, pressure, and anxiety impacting performance in the workplace

Solution Features

With the proper skills, managers can often reverse declining performance by refocusing tasks, implementing accommodations or providing additional support. Tailored to your company’s business demands, the AIR Program for Managers uses case stories that reflect “real” operational situations at your company. During the training, managers practice aligning resources within the organization to team members’ specific needs. The AIR Program includes follow-up sessions designed to reinforce and sustain learning concepts. Attending these sessions prepares managers with effective strategies to determine and take appropriate action.

Format:

The AIR Program for Managers features a 3-hour onsite training that teaches managers to use the proprietary Stress and Pressure Impact Scale to assess the level of employee distress and determine appropriate action steps. Using lectures, case studies, interactive group discussions and new tools, this unique resource also teaches managers to:

– Understand basic concepts of emotional health and how they align with emotional wellbeing

– Use observation techniques to evaluate key performance indicators

– Determine best intervention strategies and resources within their organization

– Utilise Manager Assist for one-on-one consultations to manage team member performance

– Engage other professionals in an intervention strategy

– Incorporate resilience-building language and skills in daily activities to deliver feedback, conduct meetings, perform performance reviews and coach employees.

Optional Additions:

HR Feedback Sessions: In this post-training specialized session with the organization’s HR team, participant evaluations are reviewed and training observations are shared, including any issues raised that might warrant additional training or review by management.

Manager Peer Support Sessions: Provides five virtual (telephonic/video) sessions for managers who have participated in the AIR Program for Managers. Sessions give managers the opportunity to review actual situations in which they used the Stress and Pressure Impact Scale and/or resilience techniques. In addition, data is compiled during the Manager Peer Support sessions to demonstrate the impact of training on manager behavior and team member outcomes.
